Okay, first things first -- there are tens of thousands of ActForLove.org members, and millions in our extended network. BUT... want to make sure you are ONLY searching ActForLove.org members specifically? Read the section below! But first, the general stuff...
At ActForLove.org, we make the world a better place by:
1) Promoting "feature campaigns" from our partners (ACLU, NBCC, TFK, NARAL, and others)
2) Starting our own activist campaigns for good causes that need support (StemPAC.com, for example, and DraftWesleyClark.com in the past)
3) Using a significant portion of our proceeds to support progressive causes -- especially progressive blogs
4) Building a growing network of activist singles -- and turning them into activist doubles.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, but what about the dating part?
Okay, here's how it works. When you use ActForLove.org, you can search tens of thousands of ActForLove.org members -- people who specifically signed up at ActForLove.org. AND you can also search an extended network of over 1,000,000 personals via our Spring Street partners (including very cool folks like Salon, The Onion, the Village Voice, etc.). So yes, your "one in a million" match is out there.
What if I want to search for Act For Love members only?
Just go to the search page, click "Advanced Search" and then check the box that says "Show only Act for Love personals members." This will give you people who have specifically signed up through ActForLove.org.
This is important: If you want to search for ActForLove.org members only, you must use advanced search.

How much does it cost?
It's free to search, and free to post profiles. If you see folks you like, and you want to email them, you'll need to join as a paid member (as little as $10 a month). For that price, you'll be able to email as many people as you want. If other folks see your profile, and email you -- you don't have to pay a penny.
